The Archdiocese of Galveston / Houston Galveston / Houston, Texas
The Sulzer Group is currently assisting the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston in its application for Federal Disaster assistance in connection with the devastation to its facilities caused by Hurricane Ike in late 2008. The Sulzer Group has worked with FEMA and the State of Texas to draft over 250 project worksheets covering damaged facilities at 50 different locations. Eligible Archdiocese facilities receiving Federal Disaster Assistance include school buildings, cafeterias, gymnasiums, community centers, low income housing facilities and various Catholic Charities facilities. The Sulzer Group is assisting in:
- Resolution of damage assessments and eligibility disputes
- Preparation for project closeout audits
- Management of several repair projects for the Archdiocese
- Administration of the Public Assistance disaster grants
