Holy Cross School
St. Paul’s Episcopal School, New Orleans, LA
St. Paul’s Episcopal School, located in New Orleans’ Lakeview area, was inundated with nearly 12 feet of floodwaters following Hurricane Katrina. The Sulzer Group as project manager directed the design and construction of the 10,000 square foot replacement educational facility, using several consolidated FEMA funded project worksheets. In addition to managing the design and construction, our firm has successfully established temporary facilities for the school and has secured additional funding for the repair of other damaged facilities. Construction of the new FEMA-funded consolidated facility was completed in the 1st quarter of 2013 at a cost of $2.5 million.
The Sulzer Group performed all scope alignment to capture additional eligible damages, wrote all version requests to capture that scope, authored the consolidated alternate project requests and represented St. Paul’s at all FEMA/GOHSEP meetings, ultimately leading to obligation of the PW. For the last several years, our company has performed all grant administration functions, including tracking/approving vendor invoices, preparing/submitting reimbursement requests, tracking reimbursements and payments.
